Here’s an original M44 scope and mount for M41 Swedish Mauser sniper rifle with M44 scope. This rig is rarer than the Ajack rig, or M42 rig commonly seen on M1 and M41B sniper rifles. This scope was made in 1944/1945 by Svenska Akkumulatoraktiebolagt Junger and is correctly marked AGA and is serial numbered NR 371.

The ring mount is hand fitted to the base. The entire scope/rings assembly simply slides onto the base and tightens as its moved forward. The lever is there to tighten it a bit, but its more for releasing the mount. You don't want to put much pressure on the lever, it could break and a replacement may be almost impossible to find.
